3 Ingredient Pink Drink
The 3 Ingredient Pink Drink! Learn how to make a fruity, creamy, and pleasantly pink iced beverage with the same great tasting flavor as the Starbucks pink drink! Keto and Whole30 adaptable.

There’s a good chance you have crossed paths with one of the many pink drink posts on social media (most likely on Instagram or TikTok). These luscious, perfectly pink drinks from Starbucks are practically impossible not to crave as soon as you see one. While you could grab one from Starbucks, this homemade pink drink achieves all of the coffee house flavors without nearly the coffee house cost.
What is a Starbucks Pink Drink?
The drink was originally on the Starbucks “secret menu” but once the Internet found out about it, the drink went wildly viral and landed a permanent spot on the Starbucks menu. The Starbucks version of the pink drink blends a strawberry-açaí base with coconut milk and freeze-dried strawberries to make a fruity and refreshing pastel pink iced drink.
Why Make Homemade Pink Drink
Unfortunately, the strawberry-acai base and the coconut milk Starbucks uses in their pink drinks have added sugar. This recipe will show you how to make a healthier version with as little sugar as you like or no sugar at all.
Strawberry sparking water replaces the Strawberry Açaí Refreshers® base, and it’s totally up to you what kind of milk you use. We love how easy it is to adapt the 3-ingredient pink drink to your desired sweetness and that you can adapt the recipe to be keto and Whole30,
🍓 Pink Drink Ingredients
This recipe isn’t an exact copycat of the Starbucks pink drink but the results are just as delightful.
- Strawberry Sparkling Water (sweetened or unsweetened) – Replicating the ingredients in the Strawberry Açaí Refreshers® base Starbucks uses is tricky but strawberry flavored sparking water adds all of the fruit flavor needed.
- Freeze-dried Strawberries – infuse more strawberry flavor into the drink as they re-hydrate in the sparking water.
- Coconut Milk – will make your pink drink rich and creamy without dairy, but you can use whichever milk aligns the best with your dietary lifestyle. It can be non-dairy milk or dairy milk.
- Simple Syrup (OPTIONAL) – If using unsweetened sparking water, simple syrup adds the perfect amount of sugar to sweeten things up.
Recommended Tools:
- Measuring Cup or Jar
- Tall Glass
- Stirring Spoon

📖 To Make a Homemade Pink Drink From Scratch
To treat yourself to a tasty pink drink from the comfort of your home, follow these simple steps:
1️⃣ Step One: Steep Strawberries with Sparkling Water
In a measuring cup or wide-mouthed jar, add sparkling water and freeze-dried strawberries. Allow strawberries to re-hydrate and steep in the sparkling water.
2️⃣ Step Two: Add Ice
Next, fill a tall glass with ice and add sparkling water-strawberry mixture.
3️⃣ Step Three: Pour In Milk
Top the remainder of the glass with milk.
4️⃣ Step Four: Stir & Sweeten
With a long-handled spoon, stir the pink drink together well. Add simple syrup to taste (optional) and stir to combine.

👉 Recipe Tips
- If using coconut milk, be sure to use coconut milk from a carton. Canned coconut milk won’t blend as nicely.
- If you can not find freeze-dried strawberries, you can use fresh strawberries. We recommend muddling them first to release the flavor before adding the sparking water and milk.
- This recipe does not call for anything acai-flavored like the Starbucks version but it really doesn’t make much of a difference in taste.
- If you have any leftover pink drink, strain from the ice and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
